Species Description: Nepenthes villosa is endemic to Mount Kinabalu and neighbouring Mount Tambuyukon in northeastern Borneo. It grows at higher elevations than any other Bornean Nepenthes species, occurring at elevations of over 3,200 m (10,500 ft). It is characterized by numerous, needle-like teeth on its squat yellow and red pitchers. Villosa has a reputation as among the most difficult nepenthes species to grow due to its high elevation provenance. However, I've grown them quite successfully just like any other highland nepenthes.
