I've been growing plants for as long as I can remember. As a child, I would scrimp and save all the money I made from chores and odd jobs to buy house plants from the grocery store. I bought my first Nepenthes in Edinburgh Scotland in 1999 (pictured below).

 

I now reside in the beautiful foothills of the Appalachian Mountains with my wife. My parents, avid orchid growers themselves, have generously provided greenhouse space for my sprawling Nepenthes breeding operation. All three have supported Alpenglow Exotic Plants from day one.
 

We are focused on creating pure Nepenthes species bred right here in the U.S. As of fall 2025, we've successfully created 7 pure species and a few special hybrids with exponentially more each year as some of my older specimen plants reach flowering size.
