Species Description: Nepenthes edwardsiana is often described as the "holy grail" of Nepenthes. The species is endemic to Mount Kinabalu and neighbouring Mount Tambuyukon in Sabah, Malaysian Borneo. It is considered one of the most spectacular of all Nepenthes, producing some of the largest pitchers and the most highly developed peristome ribs of any species in the genus. The tamboyukon form is slightly larger and more imposing than those found on Kinabalu, but both are phenomenal plants. Unfortunately, wild populations of the plant have been decimated by rampant poaching
